About Mrs. Marleen Stikker

Marleen Stikker is founder/director of Waag Society. She founded in 1994 'the 'Digital City' (DDS), the first free internet access provider and
virtual community in Europe.
Waag Society is one of the leading e-culture labs in the world. It has
been involved in many pioneering internet projects since it's foundation
in 1994. It is active in the fields of Health Care, Culture, Education
and Public Domain, with a strong focus on societal benefits on the use
of new technology and usercenterd dsign. Stikker is co-founder of
PICNIC, a unique festival and an inspiring conference that brings over
5000 people together on topics around emerging technologies, design
thinking en creative business.

Stikker is a member of the Board of Advisors of ICT Regie, the
organisation that advises the government in matters of ICT research and
innovation and boardmember of IIPCreate, the ICT Innovation Platform for Creative Industry.
