About Mr. Ron de Mos
Ron de Mos has been appointed the new Managing Director Business Markets at KPN/Getronics per April 1st, 2009 and will report directly to the Board. The Business Market unit has a turnover of 2.5B Euro and more than 3000 people work for the business clients of KPN.
He was until July 1st, 2008 Vice President, IBM Global Services, Benelux, responsible for all IT Infrastructure services business, which includes sales, the portfolio towards the market, full profit & loss accountability (800 Million$ revenue) and the delivery of all services. The Benelux services team is appr. 4500 people who are managing the outsourcing contracts, ICT projects and software and product maintenance business for our clients in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
His previous role in IBM; was Vice President, Strategic Outsourcing, IBM Global Services Europe Middle East and Africa. Strategic Outsourcing (SO) supports clients by providing end-to-end ICT services, taking full responsibility of the IT staff and IT asset of the client. Being accountable for the SO P&L, he was responsible of the whole business management cycle, feeding the IBM Sector and Industry Go To Market teams with the SO value proposition, solutions and offerings and ensuring client satisfaction through seamless delivering the contracted services to our clients.
His experience in IBM spans Application Development, IBM Global Network, SO Delivery, SO commercial and the IGS networking business EMEA, all in (Sr.) management and Executive positions.
From 1998 through 2002 he left IBM to work for two midsize Dutch ICT companies, being the CEO of one (700 people) for 1,5 years and the COO of the other (1500 people) for nearly 2 years.
Ron joined IBM in the Netherlands in 1979 and has worked and lived for IBM in the Netherlands, Johannesburg and Paris. He has a Masters in Economics.
