About Mr. Henk Ovink

Henk W.J. Ovink is the Director of National Spatial Planning for the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM). He is responsible for the new Planning Policy Agenda, the Architecture Policy Paper: 'A design-based culture', the new Spatial Planning Act (WRO) and its implementation, long-term plans and studies including the Randstad 2040 Structural Vision and the Dutch Olympic Spatial Strategy (Olympic Plan 2028), the knowledge and research agenda, two academic chairs at the University of Utrecht (Planning Studies) and the Delft University of Technology (Design and Politics). Henk Ovink studied mathematics, art, and architecture.
