About Mr. drs. Remco Pijpers

Remco Pijpers is director of the Dutch foundation 'Mijn Kind Online' (My Child Online) and is leading expert on youth and new media in the Netherlands.

My Child Online Foundation is an independent expertise centre for youth and media. My Child Online's spearhead is quality of digital media for children - My Child Online stimulates a good digital product offering by the annual award for the best children's website in Het Netherlands and MyBee, a free children's browser (www.mybee.nl).

In addition, My Child Online is responsible for the project management of 'children and new media' for, among other, the police and gives advice to companies and organisations on communicating with youngsters via the internet.

Pijpers wrote several books, did research and is also responsible for a very succesfull campaign for teenagers about the risks of cybersex, Internetsoa.nl, with a commercial that was for a long time the best viewed Dutch clip on YouTube.
