About Mr. Hans Blokpoel
Hans Blokpoel has more than 25 years experience in the field of organisational change, management and various executive positions. He spent the first 10 years of his career working for an international consultancy firm, where he was responsible for large-scale IT-related projects and programs in both profit and non-profit organizations.
At the start of the 1990s, he made the transition to government. Since then he has held various positions within the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management and the Ministry of Justice. These positions have combined business responsibilities with change management, for example the large-scale change of customer services and business processes, supported by a renewal of information systems.
In his current position as executive member of the board of the Dutch Immigration and Naturalization service Hans Blokpoel is responsible for the renewal program "INDiGO". Besides this he has various other roles within Dutch government, for example as chair of the supervisory board of the e-Government shared service organization "Logius".
As of July 2010 Hans Blokpoel has been appointed as General Director of the Tax and Customs Administration Regions.
