About Mr. Uwe Pöttgen

From 1996 until 2001 Uwe Poettgen was the department head of IT/Controlling at the Redcross Hospitals in Frankfurt. 2001 was his entrance into the Asklepios Group as an IT regional manager in the south-west division of the Asklepios Kliniken Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH. In 2003 he was promoted to the position Head of Business Division IT (Konzernbereich IT). With the acquisition of the LBK Hamburg GmbH in 2005, he additionally lead the reorganisation processes of existing IT operations. Among his reorganization tasks he initiated large-scale standardisation projects such as "OneIT" (base infrastructure) and SAP re-plattforming. Since 2005 Uwe Poettgen is also responsible for the "Asklepios Future Hospital" Program which is a co-operation initialised by the Asklepios Clinics, Intel, Microsoft and more than 20 industry paerners for innovative technologies in healthcare. The AFH is the leading innovation platform for Healthcare IT in Europe.
Uwe Poettgen is also a member in several national and international healthcare ICT-boards.
