About Mr. Ron Louwerse

Currently: Since 2008 Director Safety, Security & Environment.

Ron Louwerse started his career as Senior Police Officer in the city of Alkmaar and later became Chief of Police in the Westfriesland region. He joined Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in 1997 and performed in various management positions. From 2003 - 2008 he was head of Security.

As Director Safety, Security & Environment at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol he is responsible for the policy on and the implementation of Aviation Security, Access Control, Company Security and Information Security. This includes contract management, contacts with (inter)national government agencies, private security companies and technical development companies. Next to this he is responsible for policy on Safety and Environmental issues and for the Airport Fire Brigade.
