About Mr. Udo Groen

Udo Groen (born 1964) is member of the Executive Board of ProRail since October 1st 2005. He is responsible for ICT, long term rail development, innovation, strategy technology policy and audits. ProRail, which has 3500 employees, is responsible in The Netherlands for constructing and maintaining the rail infrastructure, managing and utilising capacity, and controlling train traffic.

Before ProRail he was member of the Executive Board of the Social Security Bank for a period of 5 years. He was responsible for Change Management and ICT. Before this he worked as Management Consultant for Ernst & Young for ten years.

He holds a Bachelor degree in information science and gained his Master's degree in Management Consulting at Free University of Amsterdam.
