About Mr. Drs. Jan C. de Boer RE

Mr. Jan de Boer (1969) is partner at KPMG and has over 15 years of consulting experience in the areas of IT strategy, benchmarking and organizational performance. As a member of the Global KPMG Health Steering committee and leader of the Dutch Advisory Health practice, Jan de Boer is considered an expert on e-health. Being critical, pragmatic and down to earth, he has continued to show his long-term commitment to the health sector by advising numerous hospitals, health issurance companies and the Dutch Ministry of Health in their quest to manage a wide-range of strategic IT challenges.

Jan de Boer has worked closely with board members, health professionals, members of government and IT companies to realize e-health initiatives, and argues that the importance of alignment and cooperation is frequently overlooked and underestimated. He foresees that in order to fully reap the benefits of e-health initiatives, a global cooperation and alignment between all stakeholders is becoming increasingly more important - and ultimately will determine the succes of e-health in the long-term.
