About Prof. Dr. Theo Camps

Theo Camps studied Public Administration and economics at what is now Radboud University Nijmegen. In 1995, he earned his PhD at the Technical University of Twente. Theo Camps is Chairman of the Board of Berenschot Groep B.V. He primarily provides consulting services related to strategic issues, organisational development and organisational change, for profit as well as non-profit organisations. Furthermore, he is a professor of Organisational Science & Public Administration at the TiasNimbas Business School. In recent years he was primarily involved with drastic organisational changes in the care sector and organisations in which service provision by highly educated professionals is a central theme. Recent publications by Theo Camps include the chapter 'Business Performance Management in the book 'Business Performance Management en Strategisch management' (Business Performance Management and Strategic Management) by T. Wentink (Boom Academic 2009), 'Grond voor samenwerking' (Grounds for Collaboration), (Adr. Heinen Uitgevers 2008) and 'Managers zijn Struisvogels' (Managers are Ostriches) (Reed Business 2008). He is co-editor of the special issue of the Journal on Chain and Network Science on Health Care (May 2010).
Theo Camps is chairman of the supervisory board of a number of organisations, including Afvalverwerking Regio Nijmegen bv (a waste treatment company in the Nijmegen Region), KRO (public broadcasting company), Rabobank Rijk van Nijmegen (Bank), Kuiper bouwgroep bv. (a regional construction and development company) and Chairman of the Taskforce Innovatie Regio Utrecht (Innovation Taskforce for the Utrecht Region).
