About Mr. Roger van Boxtel LL.M.

Roger van Boxtel is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Menzis. Menzis is among the top four largest health insurers in the Netherlands. In addition, Van Boxtel is also member of the Executive Board of VNO-NCW (association of employers), Chairman De Groene Zaak (for preservation of the Dutch economy), Chairman of the IUCN Dutch Committee (the Dutch branch of the International Union of Nature Organizations) and Chairman ECP EPN platform for e-Netherlands.
Previously Roger van Boxtel was active in the public sector for many years. From 1998-2002, Van Boxtel was Minister for Urban Policy and Integration of Ethnic minorities in the Netherlands. Besides his responsibility for addressing the problems in large cities and coordinating the integration, he was responsible for the government information policy and coordination of the millennium bug. From 1994-1998, Van Boxtel was member of the Senate (First Chamber) of the State General of the Netherlands and from 1995 he was deputy leader of D66 (political party).
