Smart Business (Best practises on transforming business to lower energy consumption)
Emerald Room
11:15 - 12:45 hrs.Lowering CO2 emissions is one of the goals for the 21st century. ICT is the one of the few sectors that is both able to reduce its own carbon footprint as well as having the potential to reduce CO2 and energy consumption in other sectors. The innovating power of ICT will be the subject during this session. ICT sector leaders together with universities plan to make the world’s communications networks 1000 times more efficient than they are today. But the largest reduction will come from collaboration between sectors. This collaboration will lead to a much steeper reduction of energy consumption and it will have a positive impact on all the three P’s: People, Planet and Profit.
