  The challenge of shifting care beyond the traditional institutional setting is exposed by worldwide challenges, where ICT in general is helping to increase access and quality and reduce the costs of care. How can we use technology to bring health care to people in remote areas? And how will implementing telehealth help people age in place and reduce the costs of care? The need for change will be addressed and practical directions for changes will be presented.
