    Patients in control

    Forum
    16:15 - 17:45 hrs.

Inspired by the perspectives on eHealth, we will define the expectations for the near future. Governments can play an important role in 'putting the patients in the center of system' and stimulate transparency concerning costs and the quality of health care providers. Do they use the stick or the carrot? Two examples of experience with voluntary cooperation between professionals and patients supported by eHealth are shown. The speakers will explain that the use of IT in health care processes is not an easy matter, but that it can be done if professionals change their attitude towards patients.
